Coinbase is a cryptocurrency exchange platform where users can buy, sell, and store digital currencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and others.
It is important to migrate your crypto to a self-custodial wallet once you are done trading because if the exchange ever went out of business or was inaccessible you would not be able to access your crypto anymore. This happened to users of the FTX exchange. This article goes more in-depth on why self-custody is important. The process of migrating your crypto off of Coinbase to MEW Mobile is simple.
Follow this guide to move your crypto off of Coinbase and into your MEW Mobile self-custodial wallet.
